Irving Shipbuilding

When Halifax Shipyards, a division of J.D. Irving Ltd., decided to make a bid for the single biggest contract ever put out by Public Works and Government Services Canada, they turned to One Oh One as their preferred print partner. Aside from the massive print quantities, this was no ordinary job for our production team. We knew how important it was to hit deadlines and create a flawless finished product, so we created a special sequenced process to fine-tune the proposal as it moved through production. We also had to consider how critical it was to keep this ultra-customized proposal under wraps. We had a security guard on-site during all active hours on the project, and secured all documents under lock and key at night. Most impressive? We managed to produce, package, and send out the final version of the proposal in just one week.

With the finished proposal in place, Halifax Shipyards launched the Ships Start Here campaign to excite the city of Halifax for a contract that would create over 10,000 jobs and 30 years of work for the region's shipbuilding industry. In the end, Halifax Shipyards won the contract thanks to their clear vision, hard work, and great amount of effort that went into creating this proposal.
